About the Institute

Pioneered by the Society for Family Health Group.

The SFH Institute for Public Health is the research and training arm of the Society for Family Health Group — a forty-year-old public health organisation working across Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. The Institute exists to train the workforce, generate evidence, and translate it into better health programmes for the region.

What learners say.

The course felt like it was built by people who've worked in a clinic — because it was. I use the case-management framework with patients every day.
Adaeze N.Community health practitioner, Enugu State
The M&E cohort reshaped how my team designs indicators. We're tracking outcomes our previous frameworks completely missed.
Kwame O.Regional programme manager, Accra
The fellowship gave me research mentorship I couldn't have got otherwise. The Institute treats practitioners as colleagues, not students.
Dr. Fatima B.Public health researcher, Lagos
